(Last Updated February 12, 2008)

When we come together, it is our time,
our time to reach deeply within your heart, deep into your inner wisdom. It is a time for offering and gathering together with others who walk the way of spiritual maturity. It is a time to be reminded and to be enthused about your life’s purpose. When I come to you, I come with a goblet of Noble Wisdom, pouring nectar into your life. And you come to me, like thirsty flowers receiving the misty rain. In our time, everything is refreshed and renewed.
Our great fortune is this time that we have together. This is the time to reach into your selves deeper than ever before. It is a time for stretching our understanding, stretching and surpassing, leaving your last limit behind. This time gives our days on earth a shine, a brilliance, a sense of spiritual purpose, time and time again.

What a treasure.

"The unstruck drum of the Dharma

sounds within my heart,

and my deaf ears hear it not."

Shakyamuni Buddha

What is the Dharma Drum?
It is the heart beating, eternally un-noticed. It is an un-
struck sound resounding in silence. It is the rhythm of
traceless footsteps, the ancients traveling
the path of no return.
"ShantiMayi"

ShantiMayi has changed the name of Satsangh
to Dharma Drum.

SM: Dharma Drum strikes a natural rhythm in calling
the inspired one(s) to gather for "the teachings". The
heart beating in all, and heard by none is similar to the
‘Truth’ in all and grasped by none.
In Ch’an temples, the Dharma Drum is struck and
everyone eagerly comes to hear the sound of emptiness
again and again and again. After ‘the teachings’, the hall
is vacated, serenity fills that place, the people have
returned to their lives, to live out their inspiration, the
dharma of everyday life. This is how I view our time
together, a great resonance, like the drum and its
booming call. Empty and heart-full. We gather to enliven
a dedication to the dharma of spiritual excellence in the
center of common living. And of course awakening to the
most profound and undivided ‘Truth’.

Enthusiastically
Sound
the Dharma Drum
and let them come by heart.
